Wordle!

Think we need an "oops" emoji 🫣 @Scarlett
Not at all @Flyfrequently this was very deliberate.
I could think of about six or seven different solutions after that first guess, so wanted to narrow it down and used an ‘eliminator’ word. That actually took the longest time today: trying to find a valid word that would knock out enough of the options.
Even then I think my final guess was still a 50/50 chance.

It’s also why I choose to play on the normal mode. In hard mode you often see players get ‘stuck’ (similar to @Pushka above) where they’re just trying to guess the final one or two letters but there are a few valid words left. In that mode you can’t use eliminator guesses, which to me seems like it becomes a game of just luck to guess the correct letters before the dreaded X, rather than a game of skill. As an example, imagine you had got to STOR◻️ on your third guess.
You have no other option than just to guess E, K, M, Y and hope you hit the correct one before X/6 came up. (ignoring of course that if you hadn’t guessed an E in your first couple of guesses you probably deserve to fail! 😁)

It’s all good fun.
