I have one World of Hyatt Guest of Honour award to give away.

The award entitles the recipient to be treated as a Globalist on a future Hyatt stay (one room) of up to seven nights.

The award will only be applied 48 hours out from your stay. You need to be a World of Hyatt member (if you're not already, you can join for free) and you will need to provide me with the name on the reservation, the reservation number and the dates of stay. The stay must have a checkout date no later than 31 October this year. (If the award goes unclaimed, I may relax this to a later date this year.)

To be eligible, you need to have been a member of AFF for at least 180 days and have at least 45 posts.

Very generous but can;t make use of it this year.

Very generous. I've only recently discovered that these passes exist. My family is travelling in October staying at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

OP, I recognise I don't meet the requirement, but if no eligible forum member ends up taking it, my family would be very thankful!

If checkout date requirement changes into November I would appreciate this very generous offer!

The announcement that the Hyatt Regency in Perth is set to close on 31 August has changed the calculus on this, I'm afraid and means I need to evaluate my relationship with Hyatt after more than a decade. It may be that I will still be able to offer the award for use this year or it may be that I need to offer for use in January or February next year.

With multiple nights booked in Perth that will now no longer eventuate, I won't really know where I stand until Hyatt contacts me. I'll post an update when I know.

EXCLUSIVE OFFER - Offer expires: 20 Jan 2025

- Earn up to 200,000 bonus Velocity Points*
- Enjoy unlimited complimentary access to Priority Pass lounges worldwide
- Earn up to 3 Citi reward Points per dollar uncapped

In a similar situation - have one last stay in August, but lots of bookings for the next 8 months will fall away. Very disappointed by this, especially being about 82% to life time

Very generous. I never knew what GoH was until I see this thread.

I have a 5 night booking at Bali in April next year. I would love to have it but the date doesn't fit. Hopefully it goes to a worthy member here.

Hyatt's handling of the closure was abysmal. It took weeks and weeks to get any sort of clarity or the "support" promised in the media release.

I now finally know where I stand. The guest of honour award I have remains available. To be eligible, you need to have been a member of AFF for at least 180 days and have at least 45 posts. The new additional criterion is that your stay must have a checkout in November.

Globalist is close to the best Hotel status around having guaranteed benefits such as:
-4pm check out
-Breakfast
-Lounge Access

If you haven't tried it, the breakfast buffet at the Grand Hyatt Taipei is pretty great. Way too much to try if you're there just for one breakfast though!

We are stopping through Taipei on a CI flight to Japan and wanted to see the city, looking forward to it

I have an upcoming Hyatt stay in Bali with a check-out on November 1. If this is still available I'd be interested.

That will work, provided you don't checkout before 1 November.

Please send me a PM with your details. I'll assign the award 48 hours before arrival.
