"Your booking cannot be cancelled online"

Considering cancelling a VA booking, and when I click Cancel Booking in MYB, I get: Your booking cannot be cancelled online. Please contact us for more information.

Any idea why this is, and whether I'll be hit with a service fee if I call GCC to cancel?
 
Happens all the time. I've never been charged a service fee. Sometimes I start by indicating what I was trying to do online and that I got a message saying not possible and to call up. Never been challenged about this.

Thanks... I'll probably cancel the booking and rebook a better time with QF then. This flight was going to be my first time flying VA in about a year...

I love it when they say "On this occasion, I will make an exception and waive the GCC fee". Umm... no, I'm not paying it on principal, but thanks anyway.

I seem to hear that excuse everywhere "on this occasion" and exception " good grief" :rolleyes:
 
After some initial communications issues with the operator, cancellation proceeded smoothly with no mention of any fees other than the $80 cancellation fee I was expecting. I've only got one half of the emails I need to log in to my Travel Bank account though...
 
I have a booking in September that was paid using part gift voucher and part credit card. I went into the booking today to check change fees involved to change dates and received error message "Unable to change booking online, contact Guest contact centre".

Not sure why the payment method would stop me changing booking online. :confused: Not likely to spend $80 changing an $89 flight.
