Your flying trips and goals in 2014

Currently on a run of flights with different airlines having flown or booked BA, EY, EI, QFd, QFi, MI, VA and SQ through to August.
CX points are burning a hole in my pocket.

My 2014 plan is to not travel much in preparation for a big 2015 and also instead of planning holidays I need to be planning renovations to finish our house! That has slipped a bit in the last year or too as the travel has become more consuming :-) Having said that, I already have a Malaysia trip booked, and planned interstate trips to MEL x 2, SYD & OOL. Since I don't travel for work, and I currently don't have status anyway, unless a real bargain pops up that I can't resist, I hope I can stick to this. I plan to spend the year reading and learning here, "saving" for all the trips I have planned in 2015.

Have bkd holidays in HNL, DPS and CNS. Also, would like to know where to start trying to figure out how best to use these bits of points I have:

110K in QF
182K in AA
100K in USDM
110K In VA.

Our goal for 2014 is to end the year with less frequent flyer points than we start off the year. I think an AFF member told me that this is "living the dream" so I do hope he is spot on.

Do you need to find cousins that you didn't know you had to decrease your points balance a bit.

BNExHGK-CDG on CX with 4 weeks in France and CDGxKUL-BNE on MH...all in J using AA miles bought with the 50% bonus

Oct is a cruise from Ft Lauderdale to San Diego via the Panama Canal...return is LAX-BNE in J using Velocity points. Still have not decided on how to get to MIA

1195 SC away from QF LTG, thats the plan, then to look at AAnother AAirline Program.
(Hopefully timing will be good because the merger may have settled down by then)

Using up a fair chunk of cheap USDMs to fly SYD LHR BKK ICN BKK SYD in J

Not been to Europe since 97 and never been to Seoul so got lots of site seeing planned.

Friends from BKK going to Seoul too, which should be fun.

Jan - SYD-SIN-KUL-SYD QF/MH Y for work (first time on MH)
Feb - SYD-DRW-SYD QF Y for work
Mar - SYD-MEL Y QF, MEL-LAX PE QF ZASA, JFK-DXB-SYD F EK classic award all for leisure (first time on EK)

Mrscove is making a run for Platinum One and it is purely from domestic QF J flights. She would love to do a QF to LAX in First and come home with SQ in Suites. I will try to make her wish come true.

New job to start on the 13th Jan, no idea what travel that will involve. I've been told quarterly meetings in MEL with the odd Pilbara trip so we'll see. BFOD policy so I'd say my WPness will disappear.

Just booked some Classic J's PER-NYC for Xmas '14 (well the flights over anyway). They're on CX via HKG so really looking forward to those.

I have travel booked every weekend through to end June 2014. Who would have thought?

I have 4 tripped planned to Thailand and a few domestic golf trips as well. Some individual goals

- Lifetime Gold in the bag early in the year
- New carrier already achieved without expecting it
- New airport will not be so easy to achieve
- Meet more AFFers especially overseas (enjoyed the Hilton Sukhumvit Meeting on 01 January)
- Increase FF point balance
- Hope Qantas makes it through to end of the year
- A par round or sub-par round would be really nice but not holding my breath but my new coach thinks it is possible and is within reach as long as I believe ;)
