What is you oldest 'Travel Accessory' that you still use all the time?

Is it a Bag? Gadget? Garment or something else.

This folding comb/hair brush has spent the last 14 years in my toilet bag on every trip I have taken.

What makes it even better is that it was an Emirates Business Class giveaway which I received on a free upgrade so zero cost.

My 2 wheeler Antler carryon bag....now in its 18th year...admitttedly it has been to the repair shop several times mainly to repair stitching around the zip.

Faux-leather amenities bag, I think from Emirates many, many years ago, that is perfect size and shape for carrying electronics in. Spare phone, battery flat on the bottom, cords and plugs towards the top.

Another ancient amenities bag from Etihad F still serves as my toiletries bag.

They made 'em to last in those days!

Same here - although it hasn't needed any repairs.

Otherwise, it's a silicon universal sink/basin plug - which I bought over 20 years ago. Many a time it has been used to stop the water leaking out when I'm trying to wash myself, and things in the basin.

It is an old pencil case that is soft and bright pink with a big and small pocket. We put passports and stuff like that in it. The reason it is good is that in a backpack or on a desk it is easy to spot.
It also fits easy into a seat pocket when you have to do immigration forms.

We got it in the 1990s and it has lasted better than me 😁

Just dont leave it behind tho.
People always leave things in seat pockets.
My passport is always in my buttoned cargo shirt pocket.

On smartphone, that lives on other pocket.
Cards go in trousers cargo pockets.
Those secret pocket cargo pants are a bliss-send.

3 items in the past 15 years that for any trip over a week get used.
Samsonite the carry on version for international and US domestic and saved me a few times.
Clear toiletries bag that I received from SQ when the A380 was introduced
Bose noise canceling head phones these are 10 years and replaced the Sony.

I have this exact comb in my toiletry bag too. Can't remember exactly where it came from, Cathay Pacific maybe?

An A4 sized folder that sits in my backpack which I reckon I’ve had since the late 90’s. It’s probably been in three different backpacks so far as they wear out much faster.
Laptop goes on one side of it and any paperwork I want easy access to on the other side. Anything I don’t want creased goes inside it.

As for those comb/brush combinations, they used to be fairly common in J amenities kits. There’s maybe four different ones here, but no identifying marks from which airline.

All are in the bathroom cupboard along with mini toothpastes, hand creams, lip balms…

One of them, maybe MH used have a foldable brush that popped in and out and the handle had a mirror (not that you could use the mirror while brushing).

These days, a buzz cut is a good way to manage “long haul hair”.

My 2006 gold Nano 2nd Gen ipod... the work arounds I have to do to keep using this even today drives Mr Denali nuts. Its been on every flight Ive taken since 2006

Still got my silver Ipod of similar vintage but it now lives in the car. My sleeping on planes trick used to be playing 3 Enya albums on loop at low volume.:)

Mine is a Delsey suitcase bought in 1989 in Tours, France for FFR500. Its predecessor was stolen from the motel my tour group was staying at the night before. It's still going strong and has been lost and found 3 times in GVA (twice) and recently in SYD when someone 'mistakenly' took it home with them (and I tracked it to his apartment with an AirTag)...
