Have just crossed the 1mm on Aadvantage and their latest LTG.
Thanks Lindsay for putting the idea in my mind and all others who have helped me get there.

Congratulations!

1MM on AA can also be earned from CC spend.

How much of this was flying, how much was your trusty Diners ;)

About 15% is from the good ole DC.
8% from hilton stays,AA dining and shopping.
2% from SPG.
leaving 75% from flying-mostly OS.
The next million will probably have about 40% from DC+SPG.As long as AA dont change the unwritten rules!

Have just crossed the 1mm on Aadvantage and their latest LTG.

Congratulations! Lifetime oneworld Ruby....oh wait..... :p Just kidding - AA GLD and on the way to lifetime AA PLT

So does this mean you'll be receiving a few free upgrades every year?

Oh well. At least I will now have the QP to fall back on if they actually deny me access at the Flounge. :) If it'd been EXP status alone and both lounges happen to be extremely cough about applying published rules that day, I'd have been completely lounge-less. Hence the squiggle run yesterday, apart from the fact that it was actually cheaper to come back via SYD as red-edeals were sold out for all direct flights after 4pm.
