"You're just away from status"

I just received a rather odd email from QFF. The subject is "You're just away from status". I know, that doesn't make any sense to me either.

The email itself says nothing, except the standard blurb at the bottom of all of their emails, "You have received this email because you are subscribed to Qantas Frequent Flyer 'Exclusive offers from our program partners' emails....... "

Anyone else get this? I'm assuming it's just another QF IT glitch.

Got one too. Someone in marketing accidentally pushed the ‘send’ button before the campaign always ready lol

WTF? I checked through my statement for the last few months and stopped when I got to 8 points earning QF flights on QF metal.

Interesting! My email has none of that text (or indeed any text other than the usual footer blurb). TBH, I'd be pretty happy if QF thought I've "earned the required number of Status Credits" to requalify, given that I'm P1 and have an SC balance of 50!
 
It seems that a few companies have had that
I received email and SMS from St George bank congratulating me on paying off my balance transfer
Two problems my credit card with them is paid in full each month and second problem never had a balance transfer
Maybe some of Qantas interns have moved over to the banking sector ?

funny thing is, i already have the 4 QF flights, just short on the SC for Gold

Yep I got it too and it doesnt make sense at all, as I have completed 4 eligible Qantas sectors but only have 120SCs which is nowhere near the 600SCs I need to requal.

Wondering if they were trying to comp people's status because of Cornoa virus travel reductions but the weird link seems to be some bungled adidas promo for points not SCs.
 
Mine has no text either. Gotta love the work experience kids.. had a few weeks back in school and decided to try out the latest trick they learned....

(also my subject had " "(double spaces) no status level actually listed (as per the thread subject)
 
got the same - but I'm way off re-qualifying this year. I got a momentary rush and thought they were comp'ing me!

sometimes it's better to not then send more email and create more confusion and awareness. it's probably unfortunately gone to a subset of customers, many went straight into spam.

Yes, suggests that they only went out to a few. And it was such a mess that I suspect they may not have been able to figure who it went out to.
