QF974 has just squawked 7700

BNE-TSV
VH-VXE

Now circling just North of Gladstone at 11500 feet!

According to Flightradar... But may not be accurate

Seems to have had a rapid descent from 38000 feet (from what I can see. May not be accurate).

Yep she has indeed!

Now at 9,000 feet and hanging around North of Gladstone

Wonder if it'll make the "news" later today with the usual headlines..

Only posting this here as it MIGHT be weather related.....

Been watching this on flightradar24, but it's dissapeared now (wouldn't read too much into that).
I presume it was going to divert to Rockhampton?
 
I was watching it too and saw the rapid descent. The QF site is showing that the plan is to continue the flight after about half an hour on the ground in ROK... we'll see if that actually happens :p

Can assume a medical emergency perhaps ?

Can confirm it is a pressureisation issue. Aircraft is safely on the ground in Rocky and being tended to by emergency services.
