Two weeks overland CNS-PER - woo-hoo .

Looking forward to reading your TR. I was in Warburton last year on a work trip, staying at the Warburton Roadhouse, not too bad at all. The landscape is superb. We met a group of Citroen cars driving the Great Central Highway from Cairns to Perth - probably about 15 or so of them.

Chill-out day in CNS today before hitting the track in the morning.

Here's the 4WD transport.



There's a flexible link between the truck cab and the main cabin so pax can talk to the driver and offsider. A front-facing CCTV camera feeds to the screen - QF A380 tail-cam style.

Seating is very comfortable with good legroom.

Australia's smallest bar at Conjuboy and stopped for morning tea on the roadside today.

Had last night and this morning in Winton - the original home of QF. Dinosaur centre is worth a visit.



Start heading due W to overnight at Boulia tonight.

At Boulia in far W Qld.

Came through a place called Middleton about half way between Winton and here where we stopped briefly. Only things there are a pub and the Hilton - for Princess Fiona and Mrs Drron .

Setting up camp takes about 30 minutes and then the bar is open and cooking gets under way.



Heading into the NT tomorrow and probably out of phone range until Alice Springs on Sunday afternoon.
