Notice the seat map for the B777W has been upgraded for "the business".
Our flights aren't until July 2016.

Nice! My flights in May are still showing the old configuration for the trip there but the new one for the way back.

So they've gone from 35 2-3-2 to 37?

I wonder how private 7 and 11 will be

Mine have also, VA1 in late July and VA8 in mid August.
Comeon you refit faries, do your thing and keep to schedule!!

Only problem now is I've got no idea which seats will be "the best", but based on their 332 refit I'm thinking window seat as far forward as I can. 2K and 1A it is for the moment...

I have a flight in feb with the old config :( I guess it was pretty hopeful to hope the new config would be out by then.

Looks like ill be doing a sneaky trip sometime after June to test it out.

I'm flying SYD-LAX April 30th so I don't like my chances by the looks of it . I thought even with the delay it was still going to be completed around April ? Obviously it's later again

I wonder if the bar will be in between the 2 J cabins.
My flight to LAX is on May 8. Will keep an eye out to see if the referees seat plan gets loaded on to that flight. It would be so awesome if it was!

My husband asked where will the bar be.

When I did my seat selection online it wouldnt save so I called them.
They didn't know which seat has the bassinet (on the a330 it's 1A).
Nor did they know where the bar would be.
I selected 3K and 4K as our seats as I thought this would be a safe bet.

Also thought it was worth posting the W / Y cabins, from expertflyer.

I would reckon so, surely the break between the two cabins would be at 2L/R, and that'd make sense as you need to allow traffic across for boarding/deplaning/emergencies?
(but what would I know?)

Hopefully the extra seats will mean extra award space!

I'm attempting to change my seats for flights next June.

I select my new seats and after hitting "continue" it reverts back to my original seat allocations. It's not accepting my changes.

I guess I will need to call up and get the call center to make the changes for me.

Whereas before I was a fan of Row 5 (I always too 5C) because of its seclusion and also because it was near the door, I wonder under the new seat layout plan what would be a good seat to select.

I was promised they would be when I booked my February flights. By the platinum desk. This was a major factor in my purchasing decision. I've lodged a complaint (whilst I get that they can't change the plane, it makes me feel better). Staff shouldn't be promising something they can't deliver. Hopefully my return for graduation May 24th will have the upgrade although looks like I'll have to change my plane to SYD instead (no biggie).

Grr. Of course, I'd be doing SYD-LAX on May 8...*sigh* Hopefully, that will change closer to the time. I would love to experience the new J cabin on both trips!

Anyone else had any success in changing their seat assignment for an existing booking on flight with the new seat layout?

I checked a booking of mine which shows I have been assigned 1D for my VA1/VA2 flights in June (previously when I booked i had 5C). I Selected the seat assignment for the booking and selected window seats and then pressed "continue" however the seat assignments aren't being updated.

I was able to update mine yes, I had also been given 1D, changed to 2K and received an email confirmation w/ updated itinerary and new seat assignment. (Reflected in expertflyer also)

I'm on a flexi economy points upgrade to J award seat too, if it's at all relevant.

Well that's interesting. I'm just wondering if it might be due to the fact that I also have return VA codeshare flights to JFK as part of the ticket. If all else fails I'll call up VA and try and get them to change it. Still somewhat in the dark as to what are likely to be the better seat locations.
