Hi All,

Flew in June and still not showing credit with Velocity number entered in May booking?

Rang Velocity centre and when asked to key in Membership number the system did not recognise?
Operator was fine with it, as I was logged into account so had the right number.
Told to email [email protected] to findout where points are.........

Regards

I emailed them 7 weeks ago (a week after the flight) and heard / saw nothing happen. I sent another email in saying it's been >6 weeks but apart from the "confirmation" bounceback I haven't heard anything. I might try giving them a call and see if I get anywhere...

As a SILVER member I would be raising my voice tooo grrrrrrrrrr

IF I don't have it fixed up by the end of the week.....I begin to ROAR!

Just got off the phone with them. Front line staff member was friendly but had very little knowledge, referred me to the supervisor who was very friendly. She said she'd chase it herself and see if she can get it sorted for me in the next couple of hours. We'll see how it goes, but I'm not holding my breath.
Also I flew "main cabin select" (and still have my BP) so I'll be interested to see if I get the full fare economy SC earn rate. Time will tell!

All in all VX was a positive experience though. Their IFE and food ordering system was excellent!

I did get a call back last night, the rep stated that she needed to chase VX again overnight and that it should happen by today.
Low and behold today I login and it's correctly credited my "full fare" economy (for main cabin select) SCs and points, so looks good!

Seems that if you call them within the 6 weeks, they'll ask you to wait (I mentioned it a few weeks ago when speaking to them about something else) but once the 6 weeks have passed they'll take action.

Happy days!

Mine has not called back and no credit...which country did your person sound from?
Local?

Not local, no. Mine had to go through to a supervisor as the front line staff member wasn't able to assist, but she still sounded like part of the off-shore call centre.

Mine credited 'automatically' ie about a week after the flight.

Cheap SC too....

YEAH i'M ON PHONE TOMORROW SEEKING ANSWERS AND POINTS(yes I'm shouting cause I'm angry)

PM Virgin Australia about the problem (nicely) and ask them to pass it onto Velocity. Also call up immediately and explain your case.

PLANT, I was in your exact problem, and then after doing the above, the points were there within 48hrs.

mmmm.....demanded supervisor when informed 6-8weeks to credit.....still informed that may not come sooner.....not happy.
Is anyone else experiencing their velocity number not being recognised when keyed in on phone?

I had the problem of getting a 'not recognised' error when I called the other day, but when I keyed my number in a second time I was directed through to the Gold desk, so I think it might just be an issue with keying it in the first time.

Yeah I go through this a lot and as such I've actual moved my flying to delta, delta SC and points are there straight away. I fly virgin America if I have to

I shouldn't have to chase points. I wonder if now that Virgin America has launched status on elavate their loyalty program if this will be better.

I phoned VX's call centre and got them to update VFF numbers and assign seats. Hopefully that works.

Still no points and been 48hrs :(
Chasing bloody Qantas FF now after flying AA.......what year we in?

Positive news to report....sort of......1 down. 1 to go!

Well I was trolling and thinking still no credit.....when just 2 minutes ago I got a call from Velocity to inform me that MANUALLY the points for 1st flight had been credited into account :)
But the 2nd flight are not there even though email sent with both flights.
There on to it!
Oh and yes I was pleasant...put the PACKER back in the bag!

Edit: Forgot to ask can I bring Delta Skymiles over to VA Velocity?

No unfortunately. Once they're in a program they're there. There are very few (if any, none I can think of at least) programs that let you move airline miles to another carrier. There are hotels and what not that let you move to airlines (most hotels) but airlines keep miles and like them staying in the one program.

You can of course credit DL to VA :)
