New VA International J class seat

I flew VA to LA this week and the CSM told me (I did ask) that VA recently signed off on the new international J class seats. It will be the herringbone style seat (love it or hate it). She indicated it will be different to Air NZ's product and that they're all very excited about it VA's decision. Thought I'd share this with you all.

I'm surprised it is the herringbone style config. Would love it if they did something similar to EY

As it doesn't seem like VA have actually announced it yet, I think it's a little ambitious. Although SQ recently had a very short timeframe between announcing their new J seat and rolling it out.

She indicated Dec for the first aircraft with the remaining fitted in 2015 but she couldn't confirm 100%.

Whatever. I'm just passing on what was said to me by the CSM who quoted that the new seats were signed off by VA two weeks ago. She was told the news only the other day. We will all have to wait and see!

VA CSM on my return flight today confirmed the new J Herringbone seats are coming. Also worth noting that the J bar will go.

..... but if they're not refurbishing PE, perhaps J will be re-allocated the PE bar instead
