Slow posting of partner flights-AY

Our last Finnair flight was on 4 Aug and none of them have posted yet. AA.com won't accept a request for missing mileage yet (less than 2 weeks), just wondering if they are chronically slow in posting?

The LA and AA flights posted within a couple days, so did the QF codeshare on JL.

Also, my husband got the QF flights BNE-SYD-BNE but I didn't so since those flights were back in July I requested them as missing mileage through the website.

How long does it usually take AA to sort this out and post the missing fllights?

8 Jul - AY FRA-HEL - lodged request for credit 23 July - nothing posted yet
8 Jul - AY HEL-LHR - lodged request for credit 23 July - nothing posted yet
21 Jul - BA LHR-DXB - posted to wrong account, reversed by QF 3 Aug - lodged request with AA 4 Aug - nothing posted
25 Jul BA LGW-BGI - posted to wrong account, reversed by QF 3 Aug - lodged request with AA 4 Aug - nothing posted

Miles not posted 21,890 currently :(

It took AA about 2 weeks to post my missing QF flights after I requested credit via their web site. They state up to 60 days I think when they email the confirmation of the request.
 
Yikes, that is bad for AY!! Are they always that slow or has anyone here had better luck? The only reason I chose them is because they offer 100% miles in L class. The longhaul flight was good though and had AVOD in Y class. But our favourite airline was TN, AVOD and just before landing they had focaccia snadwiches up for grabs in the galley!

QF seems to be a bit better, I think the only reason the first 2 segments didn't post is because I didn't double check the FF numbers were in the QF PNR. I didn't even notice they weren't on the boarding passes until after the LA flights posted. I did specifically give LA the FF numbers and also AY.

I'm just glad next year's trip will all be on AA or AA/QF codeshares, those seem to post easily enough.
 
Here is my experience with HEL specifically (approx 4 trips this year) - when you check in make sure your FF number is in the reservation and prints out on the BP - for some reason my AAdv# doesn't automatically come across and I have to give them my card so that they can enter it - this has happened each and every time. for those initial times when I was not aware of this "feature" the flights didn't post to AAdv and I had lodge a claim yadayada.....

This seems true whether I am on a AY or BA flight/metal to LHR.
 
My experience with AY is as follows

Flew [19/6] MEL-HKG with QF, then HKG-HEL with AY. Checked in at F Melbourne, received both BP's which inc FF nos. The next day flew HEL-LED on AY.

As of 10/7 no points for either flight had been credited, so sent in details for myself and wife. On 17/7, my a/c had HEL-LED credited, wifes had HKG-HEL and HEL-LED credited. Left it a couple of days and rang QF, who said they would investigate further as there was no note in computer.
Then I received on 6/8 the following

Unfortunately, I'm unable to credit you with points on this occasion, as you've already received points for your claim in another reward program.

I rang plat desk on 7/8, where the operator and I established I had no other reward program that could have been used. She asked if I was a memner of xyz and I said, no, no ,no.

Said she would give it to "investigations desk". next day 7/8 points were allocated.
 
I got my QF miles for BNE-SYD-PPT but so far no AY points.

The AY flights are on BA boarding pass stock as the agents for AY. LON-HEL has AA/xx_xx_x (xx_x being the AAdvantage number). HEL-NRT for some reason there is a Q in front of the AAdvantage number AA/Qxx_xx_. That's pretty weird! I didn't notice the Q until I looked closely at it.

I think I still have to wait a couple days to claim for them because the USA is one day behind us.
 
hmmm....im wondering if AA has been reading this post and speed up their posting process ;)

i've always had to wait between 1-3 weeks for partner flights to post - however my last two flights have been super quick...

SYD-NRT QF - under 36hours

NRT-HKG CX - under 48hours
 
Lets hope they are still reading, I just submitted the credit request for AY!

If you have requested it, then they will process it; just be patient

Just checked, so far no luck. The only reason I am posting this is that I am hoping they will now post my flights to make me look bad! :p

I'm glad none of my near future plans include AY though so I don't have to go through this again.

Ok, i know its a pain and it should just work (and sometimes it does !, has when i have flown AY ecept once) but you just fill in the missing points claim and its taken care of, usually in a day or 2. (Atleast thats been the case for my missing CX & single AY flight, but the missing AY flight was actually a re-book by them onto SQ due to flight cancellation so i can understand why it did not post correctly)

It isn't difficult to put a missing mileage claim in and once it is in, then it will get processed. It's hardly a major issue. If needing points to credit in order to make an award booking then it would be a pain, but otherwise, what is the issue?

With me this was the case. I was SG on leaving Australia and the HKG-HEL sector would have given me WP while in London. The time between the flight into Hel and then the Flight leaving LHR was 10 days. Only being SG cost me an upgrade to F [ I lodged it 90 days prior and was told if my WP came thru I was " first cab of the rank" ] and the use of F lounge.
 
According to the FT thread AY Plus points backlog - Page 3 - FlyerTalk Forums the service sucks everywhere. I did everything right-put our FF numbrs in the record, made sure they were on the boarding passes. They should just post automatically, we shouldn't have to be waitng for months-some people on FT are waiting since June and some of them are still waiting for AY to post to the AY program as opposed to AA. There is something clearly wrong with this airline.

So FF miles aren't the meaning of life?
Oh well back to the drawing board.Cancel tomorrows trip.
