Doing a status run on Australia day and will have about 5 hour to burn between landing and departing. Having never been to PER before. I'm wondering what would be the best thing to do with my time?

Sit in the lounge and try and get an earlier flight home
Catch a taxi from the Airport to Perth Train Station, take train down to Freo, get fish n chips by the wharf, I've also heard little creatures brewery in Freo is a good place to kill an hour or two at as well. (Very good beer )
It'll prob take an hour each way which will give a good couple of hours for a decent lunch \ dinner and still get back to the airport with time to spare.
No, I think it's fine here, finding something to do in Perth for 5 hours would be news:!:
Okay, I'll stop
Since you're going to be there for dinner, that would be the obvious choice
Considering it's Australia Day I would avoid the city, the traffic will be horrendous. It's not the best time to be in or near the city, road closures will be in force everywhere.
Perhaps someone here can recommend a nice restaurant in the Eastern suburbs to attend, then head back to the airport.
Why not?It almost sounds like an excuse for a 'do' of some sort.
Oxymoron

In typical fashion, I'll miss it by a matter of hours!

Could do a do at the J lounge, or something as I'm flying on JASAs
