A380 9V-SKK has only just left SYD (taking off at 1248) on the 1115 hours SQ232 to SIN, so it is likely to be at least an hour late into SIN.

Based on the SQ flights I had they normally always make up for the lost time.. My most recent flight last Sunday on SQ221 was delayed close to an hour but we made it to Syd on time 0555 landing - 2nd plane to touch down..

Would be interesting to see how much time they can make up for a flights that's 1.5 hr delayed..not impossible given 9v-swy arrived 1hr+ early 2 weeks ago.. Cut short my movie on the excellent new IFE.. Had to resume the movie on the older IFE on the 380

388, SQ232 today departed SYD at 1221, 66 minutes late and is estimated to arrive at the SIN gate at 1858 local time, 78 minutes late.

I do not know how much if any of the 'lost time' was due to waiting in SYD to take off. Therefore, today, it is not forecast to make up any time, but it has yet to arrive so I cannot inform you of its exact arrival time.

Recently had a delay for bad weather which also resulted in a runway change in SGP for departure on SQ215 18:45 Departure turned out to be 19:45 however when we landed in PER we only were about 20 minutes late!

Was watching the flight path screen and it seemed that we were flying faster than usual, around 890-900kmph!

Not their fault but the pilot did make up a lot of time which was very good!

Due to fly Syd-sq this morning 11.15. Travelling onto London with young children so booked a non refundable hotel night to enjoy a relaxed night sleep. Text message on waking to say flight now 5.35pm. Meaning arrive at hotel after 1am and the whole point of a good night sleep is gone. Had turned down work worth a significant amount because I needed to be around today and couldn't with original flight. Phone SQ have no idea what is happening or even what time we will actually leave despite what the text message (and Google) say. First time flying sq, less than impressed..

The redeye SQ218 (operated by B773ER 9v-SWU) has been significantly delayed in MEL and instead of the timetabled 0105 departure has been changed to depart to SIN at 0915 on Tuesday 27 October 2015. It took off at 0947 and should arrive at the SIN airport gate at 1404 instead of 0545, eight hours and 19 minutes behind time. Not good.

Advice from any booked AFFers as to whether SQ came up with an hotel for out of towners, or taxi vouchers for locals, would be interesting.

As with a number of its Asian colleagues, SQ can be very punctual but that is not the case on Friday 6 November with SQ252, Airbus A333 9V-STT taking off from SYD at 1527 against its 1400 hours pushback time. Naturally, arrival in The Lion City is expected at 2024 local time rather than the timetabled 1920.

B773 9V-SYH on the Thursday 26 November 2015 SQ242, the 1910 hours departure took off at 2225 and is expected to be an even three hours late in SIN ex SYD at 0320 hours on Friday 27.

SQ232, the 1215 SYD - SIN on 16 December was delayed by the SYD storms today (like many other competitors) and took off at 1530 with A380 9V-SKF the aircraft. It should be in SIn 126 minutes late at 1941 hours.

SQ833 PVG-SIN delayed due to mechanical problem - the petrol thingy that feeds the other thingys has a leak - or won't flow - or doesn't exist or sumpin' - not sure which - either way delayed 1hr now most prolly 2hr min delay - F pax have retired to CA F lounge and are giving the Moët a serious hiding.

One dude final destination PER letting whole lounge know just how important he is and how likely world will come to end tomorrow if he can't make PER - what is it with these sandgropers? Hands up if you ever met one who wasn't an A grade DYKWIAer?

Edit: Shoot I forgot the smilie - I'll be in the poo with somebody no doubt if I don't add it - ;)

Very good quality photos, Cruiser Elite. I would not be Robinson Crusoe if I claimed to be envious but as some of us remind ourselves, peasants cannot be choosers.

Mb1 very few members here would have done anywhere near the number of long haul Y flts that I did prior to discovering AFF - 'peasants' totally inappropriate term - every day Australians much more accurate - I will never ever forget where I came from or how fortunate I am to be able to enjoy the travel experiences I now do.

Please remember every time my cough has sat in a seat in the air in Y, J, F or R it has ALL been self funded.

Well done, Cruiser Elite and good on you. I do not use those 'emoticons' but the previous remark was said with a bit of a grin. However, I am still a tad envious (one of the seven deadly sins, so not a state to remain in for long) and truly your Majesty, may I call you 'Sir' for evermore?

No you may not - I would prefer you address me same way my mates Tommy, cove, penegal, infinity, Tuapekastar, Ric_Melb etc do - 'Hey cough - come over here'!

SQ251, the Christmas Day late evening 2305 hours from SIN took off at 0023 on Boxing Day and hence will be in SYD at about 1040, 45 minutes late. Aircraft is A333 9V-SSB.

SQ231, the 0045 Tuesday 5 January 2016 SIN to SYD (B773ER 9V-SNC) took off at 0230 and should arrive about 65 minutes late at 1240 this afternoon.

A333 9V-STV operating SQ208, the 1930 hours Monday 18 January MEL to SIN did not take off until 2027. It will be about minutes late and should arrive a little after 0055 on Tuesday 19 January.

Befitting its oft-awarded status as the world's best airline, SQ's punctuality out of Oz is usually pretty good - certainly better than QF's.

SQ208 is given a FlightStats rating of 2.5 out of 5; QF35 (which departs at a different time of day rather than this SQ early evening alternative) is given a very poor 0.2 out of 5 combined FlightStats rating.

The Wednesday 17 February SQ207 (A333 9V-SSD) arriving in MEL is expected to be about 40 minutes late at 1855 this evening as despite a departure time of 0740, it did not take off until 0831. This will delay the 1930 hours SQ208 back to the Lion City by at least half an hour in its departure.

SQ242 from SYD to SIN (the 1910 hours flight) on Wed 17 February did not take off until 2017 but should arrive at about 0045 on Thursday morning, 18 February, 25 minutes behind time. Aircraft is B772ER 9V-SVN.
