Those photos on FT are very impressive, and considering its size, despite the many gates the concourse will have, you'd hope this means they might be opening up F lounges to status.

Is this terminal just for the A380 or all emirates flights? Hoping for the latter so I can check it out in July. We also have a four hour transit on the way back.

There are few non-A380 capable gates, but they are there. Regardless, you can catch the train between concourses even if you're not departing from it, AFAIK.

It sounds like a soft opening with only half the lounges open and only a few gates in use - opened to flights on 2 Jan.

I really hope I'm wrong but I think the chances of Qantas Platinums having access to this lounge are zero.
