Longest Serving QFF Member?

I am just coming up to 20 years membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program in December and this has me wondering who is the longest serving Frequent Flyer Member?

I met a guy in Perth whose FF number was in the very low 100'S. I thought I was doing all right being in the low 17,000's member since August 1991.

My boss is in the 6,000s... you can add about 4 million before you'd get to me from there! Adding that I only joined in late 2002

20 years here this year. We joined as a family in 1994 (youngest was 4) for a Griswold Family trip to the U.S.

Here's a radical idea for Qantas: some form of recognition for those who have stuck with QFF for more than 20 years. To counter the feeling that QF couldn't give a flying you-know-what about their loyalty.

Maybe a QP pass or two every year ? Or comped silver ?

1986 seems straightforward, with a few data points:
* My +1 (not an AFF member) - Join date July 1986 - QFF 4xx_
* Ozbeachbabe - Join date September 1986 - QFF 8xx_
* Pagingjoan - Join date September 1986 - QFF 9xx_

But Ikara's join date is three years earlier, yet has 8xx_.

In terms of earliest joining date, we seem to have a winner. For lowest number, I guess Ozbeacbabe and Ikara would have to reveal the value of the second X. They may not want to do that online - but maybe, for a chance for the fabulous prize, they could compare notes offline and let us know the outcome? >

Any competing bids from newer AFF arrivals?

MrLtL joined in August 1991 but he did have a stint with Flight Deck in the 80s and then Ansett's scheme before he joined. His number is 006****. I was a later starter, not until March 1995 (0******).

Just looked at the other historical postings re this, and I think my mate in Perth on 1xx wins! My number being 17xx_ shows me joining in Aug 1991 but I remembered I joined the Flight Deck for a year back in the 80's and obviously kept that number hence being a number slightly lower than PJ and OZB: joining in 1986. As I did a lot of travel back in those days and before tier credits, then I concur that length of membership should be given some acknowledgment. (25 years is my recommendation)

Mrs Rugby and I are junior members at 19 and 20 years respectively. My original white QFF card looks like the P1 card that time forgot.

You must have kept your Flight Deck number as Mr LtL was Aug 1991 as well and his number is 6xx_X. Not sure what his Flight Deck number was as I think he lapsed it when he went to Ansett for a year or two.
i'm 7xx_XX in 1995 so on a bit from him. The kiddlies are similar to me - we must have been going somewhere I am thinking.
