For those of you who are IHG points chasers the latest promotion was released today. More of the same from the last few like into the nights etc. Various amounts of points awarded for completing different offers. Registration is not targeted.

62.4k points for 23 nights over 128 days is my target maximum. No chance of that.
Still it is an easy 10k extra for one (already booked) stay in September
Apart from first two targets they are all incremental so unable to tick off more than one with the same stay

The best I can achieve is to leave out the 4 night stay or the 2 stay member exclusive rate bonus ( as I do not understand which rate it is on website) for 60,800 IHG points.

It says complete 6 out of 8 offers but there are only 7 offers.

Similar issue with the last line.

99,900 points (theoretically) possible for me.

5000 points, stay once
21000 points, stay 9 nights
26400 points, stay at 3 brands
13200 points, stay at 3 HI hotels
6000 points, 2 stay at member exclusive rates
1300 points, spent $80 on food and beverages at IHG hotels
1000 points, donate points to IHG Shelter in a storm disaster relief program
26000 points complete 6 out of 8 offers (although there were only 7 offers)

As usual the fine print is VERY ambiguous so it would be very easy to try and work it out but still get it wrong.

I got Member Exclusive Rate Bonus as one of my tasks. The Terms & Conditions state that it has to be hotels in Asia/Pacific, Africa and middle East. So Australian hotels are not included?

It appears that is the case.

And I just noticed Holiday Inn Express is also not included.

At your own risk.

You can put your name in booking as well as second person and make mention that you may be arriving late and the second person is going to check in first. Then for whatever reason you are delayed and don't turn up but they don't need to know. Make sure that person checks in alone.

Oh at times the hotel hasn't taken payment for prepaid booking and this could pose a slight issue.

Can anyone interpre the Member Exclusive rate?

The link goes to a promotion that ends 01September for stays until 04 September. It appears to be the IHG Rewards Club advance rate with or without breakfast. What if you use the link to book a stay after 04 September. Does it count?

One those IHG gray areas they like to leave in there to bamboozle?

Find the cheapest room you can in the coughpiest of places and find a backpacker somewhere to include in the booking to get a free night ?? might be a Win/win ???? or not.

I got the same....I did not realise the first 2 offers add together. I thought they would need to be separate nights. are you sure ??????? If so might take Mrs S to the City for a night if I can rack up 10,000 bonus points plus base points from the same booking

If you book 1 night in September then you have achieved the first 2 hurdles.

The offers do stack. I completed 4 of my Set Your Sights task with 2 stays
