I think your status has something to do with it although when you compare yours to mine then yours is easier.

For mine I managed to fit the hurdles into 2 existing trips to Thailand otherwise it's too difficult.

Quick question - if the rate l booked was "IHG® Rewards Club Rate" l assume this would be deemed a qualifying stay? I had a look through the T&Cs but it didnt specify this exact rate was / wasnt a qualifying stay. Thanks in advance

I seem to be registered twice with IHG.

The account I use regularly received the easy Accelerate program - Stay once (5000), Stay more (9200) and Eat (800) - complete3/3 and get 35000.

The non used account got one of the more difficult offers- a huge list of hurdles that would lead me to ignoring it.

Would have thought it would be the other way around. Not complaining as I am just about done.

The earned two Accelerate Free Nights have been posted to my account and I have redeemed them for two nights at the IC Le Moana Bora Bora then I will have four next at the IC Thalasso. Looking forward to Bora Bora (and French Polynesia being my 50th country visited)

So I need a one night stay to get my free night stay through the Accelerate promotion. I will be able to use this free night on our travels coming up over January, so it nearly is a 'no brainer' to pay for another night somewhere to get it!

We have a reasonably early flight out of Melbourne on Saturday the 19th of December so was looking to book a night at the Holiday Inn at the Airport, but the rates aren't that great, cheaper to stay in the city!

My question is will the night qualify if I use the 25% off best flexible rate through Dining Rewards? As this makes the rate more palatable?

I understood 30% was the point where there was a risk of it being non-qualifying

Looked around on T&Cs, FT and elsewhere and apparently the exclusion on deeply discounted rates is only supposed to apply in the Americas.
In theory if in other regions and the rate is publicly-available and booked on IHG website, you should get points

Thanks. I actually contacted them on their chat system and got confirmation that it would be valid, so have a screen shot of that if it comes to pass that it doesn't get credited!

I need to spend $100 on food and beverage as one of the targets in the promotion.

I have already achieved 8% of the target. Had a 2 night award stay in Chiang Mai last week with dinner and 993 points + Platinum bonus posted to account. Some of that was shuttle bus spend so not sure if I have hit the $100 spend requirement yet but should be very close. May just buy an overpriced beer from minibar today to make sure.

Email came through the other day that I have achieved my targets. I have earned 60,800 points from promotion + normal points earned from stays.
