Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Interested too but a bit confused as Vivino gave it a mere 2.8 only.

Can only find HH review. Bronze at 2010 Decanter awards. One review on CT which said "OK". 2008 still on the shelf, hardly compelling other than sounds like an OK wine and is only $15 a bottle. I shall save the space in my cellar for something else.

Daily email special from Cracka Wines, who wants some Tahbilk : Cracka Wines

At that price, I'm in...

In boots and all, as it turns out Mrs QF WP needs some more whites and Champagne to drink and I'll be on the 3 Merlots. Great deal as I used a $25 voucher that I had received when first joining late last year (plus will get 5.6% from CB). So netts off as being $89.21 for a dozen. Think my CFO (Mrs QF WP) can handle that expense ;)

Same here. I was able to use an expired (genuine) voucher which added to my satisfaction level as I figured I had already missed out. :)

You really must post this Cracka deal in the "Advice on Champagne" thread QF WP ;)

Do I look stupid? They'd laugh me (us) off that thread quicker than pop a cork on a Krug 2000

Anyway, why would I need advice on Talbilk Sparkling? I'm not going to be drinking it :D

I'm a tad confused myself! This is what Lisa Perotti-Brown had to say: "Deep garnet-purple in colour, it displays intense cassis, black cherry, cloves, nutmeg and some bay leaf. Medium to full bodied, this wine has medium to firm finely grained tannins and a high level of refreshing acidity cutting through the rich dark berry and spice fruit. The finish is long and spicy." 90/100

Sure 90/100 isn't astonishingly high but then there is also this praise: Wine 100 – Nick Stock - “Concentrated cassis and leaf-style cabernet, showing sturdy structure and stylish oak. Admirable now, but enjoyable later – best from 2016.” 93/100

See above :) + Gourmet Traveller Wine - "Intense and super concentrated, with red and black fruits, spices and a touch of bay-leaf. Delightful fruit and oak integration, and a great sense of harmony." - Peter Bourne 93/100

Look QF WP in the U.K. Prosecco did better than champagne in a recent testing. Everyone is different so if you like something let everyone know.

Hmmm, got an offer in Dan Murphys for Wolf Blass 2010 Grey Label for $33. Think I'll pick up a couple, given I have $10off Amex offer to burn by next week.

BLOODY ONLINE ORDER WON'T GO THROUGH :evil:
