Being a HH newbie, I thought I'd ask the collective wisdom of the AFFers on this forum for their advice on what to do with a relatively small amount of points. I don't normally stay at Hilton group properties (especially domestically as they're usually too expensive) but took advantage of HH Gold status via Velocity for a recent trip to the US. Stayed at several Hampton Inn properties and now have just under 23,000 points thanks to the current 2000 points/night HH promo.
I have no idea whether this would get me anywhere near a free night's stay domestically (I doubt it), next two lots of domestic travel will be Canberra and country/coastal NSW, and not likely to be doing any international travel for at least 18 months, so thought I might as well do something with the points as I'm unlikely to be earning any further points for quite some time, by which time my Gold status will have well and truly expired anyway. Have had a look at the HH Shopping Mall and could cash them in for $45 of WW Wish gift cards LOL, or transfer 20,000 across under the current Velocity promotion which will give me 3600 Velocity points - neither of which are great value of course, but better than letting them sit there and expire I guess!
Any suggestions/thoughts very welcome
