Sad to see the upcoming loss of 2 x Velocity points per USD ...

Far more value than ½ a Honors point ...

How did you earn this? I've never earnt Velocity points on my bookings and have my Velocity number added to my HH profile

Have my double dip earnings set to "points and miles".

It was a choice between that and "points and points".

So with double dip gone completely , we've lost the often lucrative bonus airline miles (with SQ, it was regularly 4x) and we've lost the option of the "50% bonus on base points" (this was what the double dip points were referred to as).

Then they've given us an extra 50% bonus (total now of 100%) which has had a name change to "Diamond Elite 100% Bonus" instead of the "Diamond VIP Bonus - 50% 2018" as it was called.

OK, so the change is the loss of those lucrative airline miles with a few high end bonus options and perhaps some limited use rollover nights. I hope this is not a precursor for reward night changes.

Yes points stays count towards the years requalification.

And on Q1 they even qualify for bonus points
