AMEX platinum Accor plus reinstated

I would be chasing this up if you are waiting anymore than two weeks....

I spoke to Amex once, after I received an email but couldn't get anything to work, and they asked me to wait 10 working days which has not quite gone by yet. I will be following up though.

How many of you guys that have gotten the Accor Plus, had renewed at the new rate? And for those who were already accor plus members, did any free night stack on top of an existing, or did the expiry date of your current membership year, vary?

Curious as to the accuracy of what I was told by Amex when this benefit was first re-introduced.

I used my free night at the Cairns Pullman Reef Casino and also the dining benefit at Tamarind last weekend. Very pleased with both

I've just skimmed the thread and it appears no one has been able to get their platinum accor status reinstated? I just noticed mine go from plat to silver, which is a bummer.

Gonna try and call up later today to see if I can get it reinstated otherwise no real reason to stay at accor now.

Anyone had any luck getting their's reinstated?

I was in London in August and Rome, and used the one PP card (primary) to get the missus and I into the lounge. Then I see on my statement 2 charges for PP entry which really shocked me. Amex said I should be allowed but I have to call PP hotline to get it credited. PP hotline was adamant no guest for Amex plat and I must show secondary card. Had to send in proof of the missus card and her ticket to show she was the one who visited lounge with me.

Do you have to show your Amex plat card and PP card to get guest in for free?

The Platinum in the thread is the card not the Accor status. Current Plat Charge offer is for Silver + AccorPlus including free night. Confusing as previously the Charge gave you Accor Plat
Each PP card should give you entry with a guest. Should be no requirement to show Amex.
In Plaza Premium lounges you can use either if they accept PP as well as Amex

Agent seemed quite taken aback - don’t think he had heard that one before - ‘prefer to pay for Plat rather than Silver for free’

May I ask what the outcome was? Did you end up keeping Platinum Accor status? I would rather pay to keep platinum than not pay and get free useless silver.

Well check attached email from PP. Really don't know what to say about this. I questioned them on the phone whether my PP allowed one free guest due to it being given by amex plat.

Might just have to check your bank statements after using lounges every time just in case.

The only reason we used the one card to bring both of us in was we were using digital cards and her's wasn't loaded yet on her app so it was taking time to load so agent said you can just use the one card, which I did assuming we would both get in free.

I received a voice message to the safe effect from them a couple weeks ago. I didn't bother phoning back as my renewal isn't until the end of December. I'll have the discussion with them at that time, but like you will prefer to pay for Plat than get Silver for free.

I believe there was retain status offer for member who qualify for Plat in the past . Paid A+ will just keep renewing Plat status for those member only . Those of us who new to Accor is not eligible

Paid Accor Plus Platinum here, current membership expires end of November.
Wife is supplementary Accor Plus Platinum for which I paid $299 last year.

I registered on Amex site to convert to free membership as soon as the new benefit was announced but haven’t heard anything since, so I called Accor Plus today to check if the Amex complementary request came through. Was told I will receive an email to confirm switch to free membership then I asked about supplementary account and was told it would be $99 with no free night or $359 with free night, which I think is a bit too steep! Anyone else out there was offered supplementary membership for a fee?

Nope they wouldn’t ask for an ID
