Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

2.5 weeks ago, whilst +1 was having a shower, I ordered and received 2 x duck confit, 1 x lamb noodles and 1x salt and pepper squid....the lady sitting next to me commented that I must be very hungry ...we both thought the duck confit was excellent!

The grilled chicken and the lamb noodles are my favorite in the current menu, both super tasty. Not a fan of the beef, even once I ask for that horrid anchovy butter to be taken off- just way too fatty. Goey sticky weird fat all throughout.

Jeez I hope immigration sorts itself out this afternoon! Otherwise by the time we catch that damn bus we won’t get any FLounge time anyway!

Afternoons are usually quieter generally in SYD. But I’d Allow for extra time regardless, I was told the queues themselves will only “sort themselves out” by August

No choice as we are flying in from Adelaide. Flight from here is now 25 minutes late. Arriving 3.35 into domestic then flight to SFO departs at 5.40pm. Just time for a champagne I think. And of course even though it’s a dinner flight Qantas are serving lunch!

Qantas served "Lunch" on my 9:10pm SYD-HKG departure last Friday week.

Of course, and to be on topic, I did preface that with an F lounge dinner ... Current F Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL)

I’ve got a morning flight coming up, but given I’m not that interested in breakfast we’re not going to bother starting with a side trip to SYD.

Did you make it to the F Lounge? With a late flight and the transfer bus, I have missed out in the past.

I’m in the first lounge in Sydney and they still have their autumn menu out. Apparently the winter menu will be released tomorrow - it was delayed due to the recent renovations.
