Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

I hear the same about the fritters. Tried them once and found them very meh. But I can also take or leave the calamari.

Touch wood, never had a bad plate of fritters.
Unfortunately, had a couple serves of the calamari which weren't up to the usual standard.
Ate them none the less.

The Spicy coughin lamb noodles are absolutely amazing, a real explosion of flavors. And I am very fuzzy with lamb but the meat in this dish is actually amazingly good (at least it was in MEL the other week). Unfortunately, the brisket was the opposite- full of fat and rather the glibbery jelly-like kind. Baaah.

I think next time I'll just have the club sandwich which is ALWAYS perfect in QF's Flounges.

Thanks for the menu and photos..
I think I will go for the lamb noodles for starters and finish off with the duck confit for the main dish for my dinner tomorrow night prior to Qf 25...and then sleep all the way to Hnd ;). If I can still fit it in, either the pavlova or ice cream for dessert. Note to self: SKIP lunch tomorrow!!

Recommendations for a nibble around 4pm before a flight to San Francisco in J? Other than the champagne of course. Last time we were in F lounge we made the dreadful mistake of not eating and thinking we would get a nice meal of the flight to DPS. Regretted that thought as soon as we saw the menu.

Duck, followed by the barramundi, with the duck to finish.

While the duck confit sounds interesting (and I might try next time), the duck noodles are really exciting: Where the heck did you pick those up- at Woolies?

You're welcome! Definitely order the pavlova!

Coming late to the Autumn menu and based on feedback above we went for the pasta and noodles, followed by the barramundi and duck, with the butter mochi cake to finish. All good - duck was a bit over done, but crispy duck is fine by me. Very happy with The Lane RG Chardonnay. No spa availability, but not surprised on a busy travel day. As an aside Nestor is rocking an excellent moustache.

Mrs 340 LOVES the fritters but we are rarely in for breakfast service, although she has been known to order it for lunch :p It's a take it or leave it item for me.

I've never had the squid.

The pasta with roasted pumpkin is a current favourite of mine.
