Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Is it acceptable to order multiple dishes at once?! :D
Absolutely. But if you want to space it out a bit, make sure to tell them. I used to regularly order a starter and two mains. The mains would come together unless I specified a preference. Nowadays I tend to order two starters which I'm happy to arrive together, then a main.

I keep a menu on the table and order as I go. I’ve been known, on the odd occasion, to have more than one course

The menu barely seems to change these days. Same dishes with slight variations o_O
The changing menu was a really positive aspect of the F lounges. It is still good but this is a noticeable decline. No more sashimi, no more steak. Yet the S&P squid remains. (I can't stand it but can see that others would be disappointed if dropped).

Does the menu SYD menu change at all during the day?
Ie if I visit at 0630, can I get lunch? or only breakfast items?
Haven't been ex SYD in many years, so first visit in a long while!

Breakfast in the morning, all day dining from 11am.

I will, thanks for the idea. I live in a non-pork country so i relish every change I get for an asian flavoured pork dish!
I actually picked a 9 hr layover in HKG on my way back to go and get my fill around town.
We are so conditioned to follow the 'rules' for most things, we forget things are sometimes possible!

6am may be a stretch(!) but a polite query with plenty of notice and zero expectation may pay off. In my experience if the chefs have the requisite ingredients in the kitchen they'll make the dish / variation requested.

Me too! Sandpit via HKG to Oz, or Sandpit to Germany.
FWIW turkey bacon is just wrong.

Thanks for the info! and yes 'all day' would certainly imply I could get a bao at 6am!

While there can be flexibility in the time of food availability, especially if the staff knows you, the more important criterion is if your choice is/can be easily prepped in the kitchen. If they slow roast the pork for the bao and start that when the kitchen opens then 6am will not be possible.

So not really all day. ;) Miss H pointed this out to them on a recent visit. :p

You see this at so many food outlets these days. It's one of those things that started out incorrect and got a head of steam. "All day breakfast until 4pm" at pubs that close at 11pm.

QF should take the lead and reprint its menus with "From Here On In Dining available at 11am" :p
