Can a Business class passenger visit economy class passengers during a long Qantas long haul flight?

If you're nice to the CSM (and have decent status and/or in First), more than once I've managed to get the ok to invite one or two more junior colleagues in Y up to the A380 biz lounge for a few early flight drinks...

Considering it's hardly used by actual J or F flyers, I've never felt bad about it.

OT, I was on an EK flight once, from SYD to CHC, on EK, the F and J class are upstairs.
I have not done the QF 380.
I was in F.
As you would know, there are 2 staircases.
I saw this Asian man, I am one myself, but would never do this.
He walked from the back, ie, where the bar on the EK, was, ie from J to F, and then down the stairs, I was in 1K, he had in his hands, guess what?
He had a nice folded EK blanket under his arm, I was totally shocked.
Usually, they (EK) have a flight attendant standing at the top of the front stairs, and stopping Y pax from coming up or down, but this time, there was no staff member.
The gall of the man, he had a smug look on his face.
They say Asian people tend to take or steal things, not nailed down on planes.
***Remember the person, who was nabbed trying to take away the emergency seat back booklet a while/long time ago now.***
Or was it the emergency flotation device usually under each seat in Y.

EK tend to rope off the top of the stairs because it's all Y downstairs. OTOH QF do not, so F pax can go up and down those stairs (and staff too) on a regular basis, plus go to the J lounge (the joke that it is). The drawback for QF F pax being that sometimes J pax come down from Emeerald city to use the F lavs specially to change PJ's.

I was recentinly on a flight in F where I wanted to walk back to the back of the plane.. not to do a DYKWIA but simply for some exercise. The crew actually suggested (playfully) "You don't want to go back behind that curtain..." I did take a peek, and no, I didn't :D

As an aside it's not appropriate to invidte others UP to a higher class of service - most specially F - and certainly without specific permission.

About 2 decades ago I had 2 business class seats and 2 economy seats for our family of four. I was supposed to swap and didn’t.
I have been reminded about this mistake for what seems like 5 decades.

I have learnt from this mistake and in a similar situation I put Mrs Flying Fox in J straight away and went to explain to the CSM.

I then took my seat in Y and enjoyed the flight. Mrs Flying Fox was also very happy so that was awesome too.
