Vinomofo Wine Deals

Just opened a bottle of Wood Park Zin and it exceeded my expectations. It is quite big, kind of like drinking a fruitcake, nice finish. Much better than Wente IMO. However I can understand why some people won’t like it. I certainly do.
As always, milage varies. I liked the Wente, even though it was a bit unusual. The first glass of Wood Park I thought was a bit bland. I've just moved to a choc mint ice cream for dessert and it complements that very nicely. I think fruitcake is a good description.

I quite enjoyed the Wood Park Sangio too. Wood fired pizzas and a couple of bottles went dow a treat with friends last weekend

Anyone have views on this? 2017 Shiraz – Lost Wolf Wine Company

Would be a good buy with the current deal
I opened one of these on the weekend. Didn't really do much for me, though I'm a fan of bolder reds.

Nothing wrong with it, just a little boring. However my palate does seem to vary greatly day by day, so that might change with the next bottle.

I've got a sixer coming as well, curious to sample it after hearing your comments, I guess you could always forgo opening the second bottle and spear it back to VM for a full refund....

Generally with wines I don't find terrible, i'm inclined to keep them just to see if it was my palate on the night, give it a bit more of a decant etc etc.

Worst case they'll get used at dinner parties for people that are less picky with their reds.

Just curious how vinmofo place compares to Qantas wine as PC+ member with the discount, free delivery and bonus points offer.

Have a look at the websites and see for yourself. I buy from both. Bargains sometimes available on both sites.

This may be relevant, around 4000 posts on the AFF Qantas wines thread, but more than 20,000 in this thread.

Is that the BM deal #44988??
Yep, going by past descriptions, though i'm not sure what actual wine it is.

EDIT: Answered by RB below.

I guess it's one of these going for $105, though there's no 2014 in that list

Is d'Arenberg Shipsters' Rapture Single Vineyard Shiraz 2014, one of many "Amazing Site" reds from 2014, this one doesn't appear on the Wine Companion, but the other 10 or so from that vintage get mostly mixed reviews, a couple with 95 pts, some 88-90 pts,

Interesting.

And would redbigot be gracing the wine with a purchase??

Not even slightly interested in this, 2014 was a less than stellar vintage in McLaren Vale, no reviews I can see on a quick look, mixed reviews of the other from the same vintage set, don't need any more older wine anyway, struggling to get through what I have.
