What are you reading right now?

I just started reading Wool by Hugh Howey. They're the books the Silo TV series is based on. I watched the first season and for hooked so I I'm reading the books now. So far they're excellent, though I'm already into the genre of post-apocalyptic sci-fi

I've seen Wool around, but didn't know much about it. Post-apocalyptic sci-fi interests me too!

Thanks to @drron I became aware of the fact that life in Bhutan wasn’t allegedly one of the happiest countries on earth for some Bhutanese, regardless of what the government and some travel agencies tried to portray.

Anyway, just ordered this book: Bhutan to Blacktown by Om Dhungel after reading a review in todays smh.

I lost my possessions, my salary, my status, my career, my country. And in that fall, I gained everything.”

I have finished the urban fantasy I was reading and took a break from fantasy for a brief moment to read 84 Charing Cross Road. I love books about books (side effect of being a librarian I suppose) and I love stories told through letters and/or diary entries. So totally enjoyed this one and smashed through it in a few hours. I visited Charing Cross Road when I was in London in 2019 :D
Now to settle in and watch the movie!

And then ponder what to read next, I did get a few new books recently...

I loved that book. I still enjoy wandering along Charing Cross road when I'm in London and visiting some of their other bookshops

I was just in my local Dymocks and had a great chat to the lady in there and came away with four new author recommendations. My list to read never diminishes.

Still something light, but I am reading Joan Baez' autobiography at the moment - only read before sleep (and naughty I know but on an iPad).
edit - it is from the 1980s though

is this a new one. I read one that must have been 20 years ago. Amazing woman and I love her voice. She's still an activist in her late 70's and should be more well known for promoting Bob Dylan

Enjoyed both the book and the movie (which isn't usually the case0.

I thought the movie was done quite well indeed. Not often a movie adaptation is done well, but I think it worked well for this one.

Sorry - added a line to my original post - yes it's the 1980s one - just came across it and thought it sounded interesting.

To continue the theme of books about books, I'm now reading The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I'm halfway through and enjoying it. I think I will revert back to my usual programming of fantasy novels soon.
I will have to ensure my tablet is topped up with material before my trip - I don't want to fill my carry-on with physical books!

I have started on this : Fryderyk Chopin , a Life and Times by Alan Walker
Sadly I find my ever shortening attention span does not gel with major works like this and I may have wasted my money.
The attractions are the music of course , but also a strong possibility that family members may have had very close contact.
