Multi-city redemption booking

I'm trying to book BNE-PER-BME for next year using VA points.

There are 3 flights a day BNE-PER and 2 flights a day PER-BME with plenty of select rewards availability for all flights on the dates I'm looking at... however when I search for BNE-BME it only shows the worst possible combo with the last BNE-PER flight landing in PER at 12:20am and the first PER-BME flight departing at 7:10am - ouch

If I use the multi-city option then I can access all other flights allowing for a longer and more "relaxing" overnight in PER however the points required go up quite a lot for the same itinerary even if the layover is < 24hr

Is there a way to force the VA website / app to show additional flight options when booking?

I'm also looking to do a multi-city rewards booking and despite looking everywhere, I can't find anywhere where you can search for a multi-city rewards booking - it seems like you need to search for, and book one leg at a time, as well as search day-by-day and flight-by-flight.

Is there anyway apart from calling, that you're able to do a rewards booking using VFF points ie:
Leg 1 - City A to City B
Leg 2 - City B to City C

Rather than doing 2 separate searches / bookings?

Need to call. There's a workaround for revenue, not Velocity points.
