Can I apply for Citi Prestige if I already have Premier?

Does anyone know if you can hold both cards at once and get the reward points?

I'm a few months in to owning Citi Premier and coming close to getting the points and closing. However I see a very attractive points offer on the Prestige that expires in less than 2 weeks which I'd love to take advantage of. But realistically I don't think I can wrap up the first card before the offer expires on 20th Feb.
Does anyone know, is it possible to apply for the new one and still be eligible for the points? Otherwise will I have to let this offer go and hope for another good one to come my way.

I would guess your financial circumstances meant they had no concerns regarding the credit limit.

I just applied online like any other card. I did disclose my total existing credit limit, but obviously YMMV on this part.

For reference I went the other way and applied for the Premier while holding the Prestige. I got the bonus points for the Premier

Update - I applied and was declined, no reason given. Very annoying, first time I have ever been declined for any CC, and I can't work out why....
I called them. They refused to give a reason. However I did find out that there is a 90 day exclusion period after an application is declined before you can apply again for the same product. This does not carry over to NAB or Virgin Money.
