I just received an email from Garuda with some very competitive pricing through to Amsterdam for next year. It does mention in the small print that seasonal surcharges apply, so I'd imagine the lowest price is only available in the FEB/MAR timeframe. Yes, it is Garuda still, so not a desired option for everyone, but for some I'm sure the price is pretty attractive.

I wouldn't fly Garuda if they gave me $1,000.

How much is your life worth?

At this price, it has to be good, can't find any current bad reports. They are a Skytrak 4 star airline, have some good reports.

One of my close mates was on the Garuda flight that crashed a few years back, he dided as a result of what happened.

While I have no doubt they are a completely new (and safe) airline, I don't personally see myself flying them anytime soon.

I would say garuda is prob the greatest airline comeback of this decade. It takes a lot for the EU to let you back in again.

I wouldn't fly Garuda if the fare was zero dollars (or even if they gave me $500).

Life is short and I don't want to make it shorter.

I am a seasoned traveller and usually fly with Emirates as my preferred airline. I came across cheap business flights by Garuda to Amsterdam and decided to buy them. Like most people, and to be honest I was a little worried about safety with Garuda. I went to Amsterdam in August 2012 and I can personally say that it was a very professional airline. Our bags arrived safely, the service was great and I felt safe. We were on a new plane and I would definitely fly business class again with Garuda. I do highly recommend business class with Garuda.
