I've been doing some trip options for next year from the USA and was quite surprised to see JAL offering J class via NRT to ICN for a bit over 2100 USD. The same flight with the trip ending at NRT was around 5300 USD.

I know that sometimes indirect flights can be cheaper than direct, but OZ offer a direct J class flight for aroudn the same price.

There's also some good J class deals out of SEA into asia, which might work out well if I end up going to YVR for a week.

PS - does anyone know how I could get the cheaper fare with a stopover in TOK at the cheaper price :)??

I checked out the JAL web site. The fare rules show what I think means you can have a stopover??

Does the JL site have a multi segment booking function?

Does the JL site have a multi segment booking function?

it does, but for the life of me I can't get it to work unless I'm sort of booking a returnish trip.

I can't get the stopover function to work as I don't want to use the second depature city but you can't leave it empty
