Does it make you fell home sick, do you get that warm fuzzy feeling in your heart when you ring home on Christmas morning and speak to loved ones, or does it now mean stuff all that you have been here so long.....

Have a look...... If your Irish and old enough you will remember this.....

I'm Irish, and I am wAAayyyy old enough to remember.....even survived an IRA bomb. And I truly know what you are trying to say even after 30 odd years as an Irish gal in OZ.

An Aussie Chrissy can really tug at the heart strings. But somehow, no matter what the time of year, when those wheels go down on PER Tarmac, I am a happy gal.

I hope your Christmas is happy even if you are so far from your beautiful homeland.....and such beauty is hard to describe. A gorgeous country, filled with gorgeous folk.

As an immigrant, I feel many things, but the strongest of those things is gratitude that Australia opened it's arms at let me call it home :)

It doesn't really make me feel homesick at all, there's always Skype to chat to the family back at home. I'm happy over here with my +1 and look at it as spending a day with my new family and look to start our own traditions that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

Christmas just isn't the same for me and it does make me feel a little homesick.

Most of my family and friends back in the UK are very envious of of me, they like the sound of warm long days, but I yearn for the cold short days!!

As a youngster Christmas day started with a roaring coal fire and went on to a turkey lunch with all of the trimmings and extended family everywhere!!!

I'm not particularly family oriented, so I enjoy Christmas here as I get to spend it with pals rather than feeling obliged to visit the folks.
