No idea why the QF F product doesn't rate a mention

And there are cheap ways to enjoy some of these seats you know.

Take yourself up to BKK, and fly EK in their F cabin to HKG, a 3.5hr flight for just AUD550. Sure, it isn't a long flight but it's the full F service on-board their A380, and makes for a fun and enjoyable short trip.

Have read the article: like thewinchester, wonder why QF-F(especially on the A380) doesn't get a mention: perhaps they didn't pay for it? I mean, BA with the first electronic personal blinds? Features such as cotton PJs on some? Obviously other factors such as airline safety (OK, lets not turn just on that) must raise questions and cocnerns for even those flying in F! I have flown both BA and AA in F (the latter domestically, albeit), definitely nothing to write home about there (BA tried to have the feel of an old-fashioned Gentleman's Club, without any success).

bat21, everyone should fly F at least once: but as has been said on this forum more than once, when you dop it will be mightily hard to go back to J or Y!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the A380 F has electronic blinds as well. Or are they more electronic window shutters? Anyway, I'm also pretty sure the A380 was in service before BA introduced their new F.

Back on topic. I don't think the letters denoting ones FF status has a significant role in ones ability to get an F seat, more their amount of $$$$ or crafty ways of getting in F cheaply (FASA, classic awards etc.)

The Qantas A380 in F has those electronic shutters.

I wasn't all that impressed with Qantas F, maybe my expectations were too high. Yes it was nice to do at least once, but its straight back to the back of the plane in Y for me.

Wouldn't they simply be electric, not electronic. It's a switch with an electric motor to drive it.
