so ive searched and searched but cant find answers..
soon I'll be flying out of the Philippines back to Oz.
so im leaving BCD to MNL, arriving MNL terminal 2 south wing, then leaving terminal 2 north wing to come home. The best maps I can find show stairs in the terminal. Is it a case of using those stairs to get from arrivals to departures whilst still airside? or do i have to go out of security to use them, then back in? (im assuming this would be the case) or get a taxi from arrivals to departure? anyone know?
Hope my question makes sence.

Thanks

I have just done MNL thing a fair bit in the past 10 days.

I have only been to T1 an also T3.

To get from arrivals to generally there is some stairs.

I did at T3 last week.

Being MNL make sure you have time.

Also have some spare peso's in your pocket as well.

If you need to get a cab get a cab at arrivals level as they charge a lot less than cabs on the departures level.

EG, same trip different levels was over 200 peso's difference. Cab fare was 100 peso's versing 300 peso's.

What carrier are you on?

I was using cebu

Thanks for your reply Simo, How much is the departure fee now? I heard a rumor it dropped from 750 to 550 pesos? but cant find anything on the net.
Im flying Air Philippines, my original booking only gave me 50mins between flights. Im hoping the girl at my company that booked it can get me a bit more time.

Hi Dave,

In short to answer your Q? Last week departure from MNL T1 was PHP550. Surprised to see a reduction from PHP750.
Hope your trip was well...

i will be adding a post TR soon about my unfortunate incident in MNL , just for your future interest..

Cheers..jl

Dave,

Terminal 2 is all Philippines Airlines for both Domestic and International, South being Domestic and North being International.
i have not done a Domestic to International on PAL but its in the same building.....a fairly short walk (3 mins) from Domestic to International.
My guess is you probably be able to check in and your luggage all the way to Oz, but then you never know! This is the Philippines afterall! Best is to go to BCD Airport and ask them there.
If you can check luggage all the way, then its just walking out and walking up to get over to the International side.
Airport tax is confirmed at P550.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

Advice, book PAL domestically as well. Regardless 50 minutes is quite ridiculous. Give yourself at least 2 hours. Everything can go wrong.

International terminal fee is PHP550 but domestic one ranges from PHP30 upto PHP200 from where I went to.

Thanks so much for everyones advice, we are getting me more time to make my connection as we speak, 4 hours should do the trick
