Hi there,
Apologies if this has been asked a thousand times before but have a quick question about SC / FF Point earn on a flight when failing to board the second leg of a multi leg trip.
That is, I have a return journey booking Mel -> xSing -> LHR and because I don't need to get back to LHR, I plan on getting off at Singapore, and making another separate Sing -> Delhi return booking and subsequently flying back to Melbourne separately (possibly on another return ticket). As such, I won't make the Sing -> LHR leg of this journey and I will be with carry on luggage only.
If I do this will I still get SC / FF earn on the full Mel -> xSing -> LHR trip, or only on Mel -> Sing?
Also, what is the best way of letting Qantas know that I won't be boarding in Singapore for the London leg? On check in at Melbourne or before hand? I obviously want to avoid having to pay a change fee, and Qantas have explained I won't be eligible for a credit on on the Sin-> LHR leg as the flight was purchased through a travel agent in the UK.
Thanks, any thoughts appreciated.
cheers,
Dave
