Useful for Aus-based if > 1 trip this year.

Sigh..If only this worked the other way!

If you have >1 trip per year you can "nest" the US-Aus-US booking in the middle of the Aus-US-AUS booking.

For once a year, no dice.

Sigh..If only this worked the other way!

Not such a good special now, when Australia - LAX or JFK are $1199 and $1399.

What have been some of the cheapest Y+ / J fares on QF OZ-LAX/JFK over the last 12 months?

Is $6154 rtn ex-LAX a good price for QF?

There are current fares AUS - USA at the moment as well so don't despair...

Unfortunately I know about this because I booked last week and then QF came out with this sale the next day.

I think the discount Y flight from JFK to MEL was less than $700AUD one way. The total flight MEL-JFK-MEL is around $1399AUD

Is that return?

Yes, been looking at flights to Canada for mid June with various options through LAX or JFK and flights have been either at or around the $1199 for LAX and $1399 for JFK. Or surprisingly nice $1413 for SYD-xDFW-YVR-LAX-SYD!
