Just checked expertflyer for some of my flights.
Seat maps are now available.

EDIT: Seems to be accurate for J class, Y looks unusual, seems that blocked seats appear as allocated.
Yes that is correct, they are being returned to us as Occupied. If the results are changed to reflect a Blocked status, then our seat maps will reflect that.
Can you submit VA FQTV details along with the seat map request (so as to see additional seating options for shiny card holders?) I can provide my details if it would help..
Does this mean we can now check for upgrade inventory via expert flyer? Would be easier than having to ring up and ask, then book, then call again to request the upgrade.
Submitting frequent flyer information with a seat map search doesn't always result in a different seat map. Please email us your information and we can run some tests, thanks.
DJ H class (business) award inventory was viewable with the navitaire system....
VA award inventory wasn't viewable before and we have no indication it will be now. If you would like to email us some example flights to search for and the upgrade class code information, we would take a look.
Thanks for offering to test - I've sent through my details using the webform on the EF website - subject is "VA seatmaps - different results with FQTV data?"
I have done this but get an error message saying "passwords don't match" and the info is not saved. Help pls...Good news, it appears that sending in the FQTV data works. To add your information:
- Login to ExpertFlyer
- Go to the Preferences tab
- At the line where it says Virgin Australia Seat Maps on the bottom of the form, add the frequent flyer number in the first field and the airline program which that number is for in the second (VA unless it is a partner airline)
- Click Save then run a Seat Map search.
Be sure to spread the word, and thanks for your help.

[Edit]I use as "Allow password Remembering" script[/EDIT]You must have typed something into one of the Password fields on the General tab. Just reload the page.I have done this but get an error message saying "passwords don't match" and the info is not saved. Help pls...
When you first go to "My Account - > My Account" you are at the "General" tab.
Re-enter your password in the "Confirm Password:" field before clicking on the "Preferences" tab.
The enter your Velocity number etc. before clicking [Save].
You should then be ok.
(This happens a lot to me as I often forget to do this password bit.)
It's the latter - and I presume kpc does as well ...You actually don't have to re-enter your password when changing anything on the Preferences tab. The only time you have to enter in your password on that page is if you're changing your password. Sometimes, someone may type a stray character into one of the password fields, then you get that error. The only other thing that could cause that is if you have an app that fills in password fields automatically, in which case it may fill in one field but not the other "confirm password" field.
Can't see anything - googleusercontent is blocked here.In case anyone wanted a visual on this, here's what the difference looks like for a 738 domestic service - without the number, seats reserved for Velocity tiers are shown as allocated: ...
