I have done this but get an error message saying "passwords don't match" and the info is not saved. Help pls...
You must have typed something into one of the Password fields on the General tab. Just reload the page.
[Edit]I use as "Allow password Remembering" script[/EDIT]
When you first go to "My Account - > My Account" you are at the "General" tab.
Re-enter your password in the "Confirm Password:" field before clicking on the "Preferences" tab.
The enter your Velocity number etc. before clicking [Save].
You should then be ok.
(This happens a lot to me as I often forget to do this password bit.)
No, did not type any stray charcters in the password field etc. Just tried again on my work computer, and it accepted and saved the VA number without any problem....so no idea what the problem was when I tried earlier on my home computerYou actually don't have to re-enter your password when changing anything on the Preferences tab. The only time you have to enter in your password on that page is if you're changing your password. Sometimes, someone may type a stray character into one of the password fields, then you get that error. The only other thing that could cause that is if you have an app that fills in password fields automatically, in which case it may fill in one field but not the other "confirm password" field.
Just checked my saved VA seat maps to get an error returned. They really are having hassles getting the system up an running.
VA has two layouts on its domestic 737-800s. The live TV equipped aircraft and VOX have 29 rows of seats. The BSI aircraft and the 10 delivered just prior to the BSIs (VUR-VUZ and BZG) have 30 rows. I am guessing they are using 738 for live TV and VOX and 73H the others.
Perhaps the 73H birds are an indication of the old 737-800s without business class then. I thought the conversions were almost complete though.I was pretty sure that even those with LTA only have 29 rows now. When they added J they removed a row - they were 30 rows when they had PE. Happy to stand corrected, but I'm pretty sure of this.

Those aircraft are only being fitted with a new PE.I don't think the planes across the Tasman and to Fiji have been fitted with business class, so maybe its those? Flying on a 73H to ZQN on Friday so may have a better indication then.
Virgin have 3 active codes in the 737 fleet; 73H, 738 and 73W.
73H means you will be on an aircraft that has been either retrofitted or is a BSI. As listed before these are BZG, VUR-VUZ and all aircraft with the rego starting with a Y (BSI), including international configs YI*.
738 is a refurb aircraft with business class. The regos are the VOK onwards that are still in the fleet and VUA to VUN that are still in the fleet. All these aircraft except for VOX have Live2Air from row 5 onwards, VOX having none.
73W is for the 700s. Only 4 left and all have Live2Air except for VBU.
Please note the above only applies to the VAA fleet and that the VANZ fleet is totally different and not in line with the above specs.
Hope this helps!

I have just joined to to Expert Flyer so I have a bit of playing around to do before I get use to the site. However I am already lost as I have tried to look up Award & Upgrade Availability Search and it does't list VA on the drop down list when you have to select airlines. Am I missing something??
No, VA does not share their award inventory.
So in other words I have just wasted $99.00 as I was predominately interested in this function of Expert Flyer...
I am not sure if I should be embarrassed or angry.
VA award inventory wasn't viewable before and we have no indication it will be now.
