Heard at Brisbane Central Station earlier.

Girl with Yankee accent talking to friend/boyfriend. "Your train is departuring at...."

Tried to find it in dictionary but....

Sometimes when I'm duty but I'm not actually required to drive the train from point A to point B, we have to "go passenger" which is usually shortened to "pass" or "going pass" or "going home pass" (if you are going back to your home depot to finish).

In aviation, you'd call it dead heading.

Anyhoo, I was describing this concept to a non railway friend of mine & she described it as passengering as in "Are you passengering on that train?"

I have been known to reply to this person "No, I'm not passengering, I'm drivering it."

Our local light rail system in light rail is the DLR which may become Delight Rail seeing it is priced higher to keep the masses on the D8 bus which will become Debus over time if we can keep this trend moving ahead.
London will catch on I think.

My husband tells the story of a Q flight a couple of years ago from LA where 2 flights to Australia were boarding. They had to debark everyone. They'd all boarded the wrong plane!

I had two aircraft going to SYD ADL and SYD PER, both had crews going to a different destination to the pax.

I even turned it off & back on again.
Did you try tapping the side of it? If the reboot failed, and it doesn't respond to a couple of solid taps to the bodywork, it's probably terminal... (Toaster Maintenance 101)
