I hate one sided phone conversations where I am sitting next to person doing all the talking.

Is it that hard to shut up for 10 minutes?

Who remembers Christine Keeler ?

I remember her well. I was living near Hyde Park Gate at the time, and my landlady disapproved strongly of me wearing "that red coat". I thought it was very smart and well-fitting, with its black velvet collar; besides, it was the only coat I had. I think she thought I would bring her premises into disrepute. What's more I was working in the House of Commons . . .

TonyHancock Late leaving for work 3rd September

TonyHancock (me) was late leaving for work* on 3rd Sept 2013, the question is why? Was it because he(me) was late getting out of bed**, or did he (me) spend too long in the shower, did breakfast*** take longer than usual, could this be a systemic issue?

He left on time on the 2nd September, was 6 minutes late on the 3rd, 92 seconds late on the fourth, on time on the fifth and 17 minutes early on the 6th Sept.

On the 4th Sept he made the time up and arrived at work earlier than the scheduled start time.

:p

* Work is perhaps not something that best describes TonyHancock's activity during the day.
**Most likely the cause given his sloth like manner
***He's far too lazy to make breakfast at home for himself.

I guess you've got to wonder how much her younger photo was enhanced though. However....

I would say the opposite, good on her if she has not had plastic surgery, Botox etc. I think she looks OK for a 71yo.

Some people try to avoid the inevitable ageing process on their looks & often look far worse as they age than they otherwise would, and it looks fake to boot.

I wouldn't want to look like that at 71. That is less than 20 years away for me and I'd have to gain around 40 kilos to get there. That isn't going to happen. Can't let myself go like that. And not resorting to artificial means to do that. Just taking care of myself and caring to do so.

That's OK as long as you are realistic with what you think the ageing process will do. It is good you are certain about your own future and what you want to do with it. If CK is realistic and comfortable in her own skin, living a normal live, then that is fine by me too.

I don't know why CK has put on weight, maybe she has had issues that prevented proper exercise, affected her diet, or she is lazy.
But for a journalist to attempt to use her so called changed appearance through ageing 50 years and making it appear as though that is a major story is cheap journalism and a bad example to younger people IMHO.

Yes. I agree with you there.

There is a real conflict in society at the moment. Normalising what medical people would regard as unhealthy weight, versus unrealistic expectations of healthy weight. And as usual we are not getting the balance right.

Have you seen a photo of me at 33? Less than 20 years ago and I was ~20 kilos lighter.

Such is life....
