I saw this spider's web between the fence & one of my bins. I was going to get rid of it as it was where I needed to go. Then I thought that I should get a photo first, especially considering my car headlight lit it up.

Then I went around it...

In the days of the old iPod classic, before apple drowned all of its competitors, I tried to resist the I-bandwagon, and got a 60g Creative Zen. It was, as a salesman recently admitted, a "smoking little machine" although ugly. I can't use it, as the little white connector to charge it with has gone AWOL, and the company almost has too. Has anyone any familiarity with these, or knows where I might access spare parts for such a dinosaur? There's a lot of stuff on it I'd like to hear again.

Try eBay...

Ah yes. We purchased one of those too as we were determined not to go the apple route.

I picked up a Play:3 a few weeks ago. It's fantastic.

Tempted to get the play bar for my living room.

I had one of the 40gb ones back before the 60. Those were the days when the iPod had reached the heights of having 10gb. Creative made a good piece of hardware.

Thank you- I may have some good leads from this - I thought I had tried eBay before but came up with nothing - if successful I will be a very happy bunny and will owe you an almond mars bar.

Hot as Hades in Brisbane today:

Here comes the thunderstorm

BNE will be shutting down when it arrived and flights diverted and/or circling OOL

Not sure about that...OOL is about to get whacked

Not sure about that...OOL is about to get whacked

A c208 just came in on 14 ( 32 was the active runway) to beat the storm and a qantas 738 just did a go around with a circuit not above 1500ft to try and land before the storm completely came over.

Fun times!

Well you can drop the "vegas" ending on BNE. Well, at least for part of the north side.

Quite a storm we had and now we have no power. Can't see any lights excpet a couple of fleeting ones in the distance. Oh, and of course those with Christmas lights powered with batteries (whilst their house is ironically dark).

I feel sorry for the young tots in the dark. Electronic devices will only last so long on battery power (admittedly a long time these days - hopefully long enough until the power is restored - but you know what I mean. ... ;) )

In the old days, we used to pass the time reading (of course) or playing cards (a very rarely seen pastime these days!)

Power is back on. And the small cheers of many kids resound throughout the community.

Was watching a lot of planes coming in low and hot to beat the BNE storms, but in the middle of the blackout (anat0l and I are in the same area), I saw a couple of light planes taking off and flying to the N-NW. Crazy IMHO, but I'm no pilot...

You know that feeling you get when you see something for a split second & you think you know what you saw but aren't 100% sure? You wish you can rewind to make sure but can't?

Whatever the blonde woman was doing with her pants around her ankles at the station at 0030 - she was anything but discreet....
