I bought a small carry bag to use for golf. Most were extremely expensive and I saw one that looked OK. How much? 350 baht. Best price? 300 baht! Wouldn't go lower. When we got back to the room I somehow managed to find the price tag inside one of the pockets. How much? THB199-. I wanted to go back and shove my fist up his New Years smile but my girlfriend convinced me to let it go. Twice.

It is not relative. I dont like throwing money away on morons who think it is OK to cheat and steal.

I cant say the same about going to work in Brisbane tomorrow.

It is not just annoying. It is cheating and stealing. Even 1 baht. It is not the money it is the principle. I exchanged some money in Phrom Pong on Friday night. I should have received THB2,892 according to the receipt. I received THB2,890. It is not up to her to decide if I need the THB2 or not.

This is something that some people on AFF do not understand. The workers cannot take it up on themselves to decide the price or the tip. It is totally up to me. What if she decided I did not need the THB1,000 note? I have been short changed at the exchanges on more than one occasion. Not accidentally but on purpose. They try the trick on and if it sticks great. One this occasion I just laughed at her and walked away.

It would appear this happens everytime using the transfer counters in SIN. I think next time I will go collect bags mysefl and check-in again.

FWIW 2 other guys were transferring from JQ flight to QF6 same time as me yesterday and they received their luggage this morning.

I gotta say startrack couriers are one of the laziest courier companies!

They were meant to deliver a package today and despite 4 people being home, they didn't bother to ring the door bell but rather dropped a card saying to pick up the packet at the post office! Lazy SOB's!

Can someone in Brisbane assist with a query regarding Primrose Street Bowen Hills? I haven't seen any of the places but it would appear to be lodge type accommodation. I believe all units have ensuites and own kitchen but common living rooms.

To me lodge type accommodation would suggest a hostel but these appesr to be new.

Real estate has asked me to commit on another 6 month lease half way through current 6 month lease and a $10 increase to boot. The place is a mess.

What about Toll Ipec at moment - their XMAS 'restricted service' runs from Mon Dec 23 to Mon Jan 13 - any probs with deliveries in that period and you call their normal Customer Service number 1300 865 547 and you get recorded message - 'We are currently experiencing higher than normal call volumes - please call back later' and immediately cuts you off.

Call back every 10 mins for rest of day and you get same result every time - not even a chance to leave a number for them to call you back - 'Customer Service'?

I've noticed packages to my place often have this problem too, everyone home all day yet the card says to pickup...must be more convenient for the contractor to dump the load of packages onto the nearest post office franchisee..
