It would depend on what a customer deems to be appropriate. Some may think not, I may or may not think the procedures are adequate. Unfortunately without ID being presented (for some services) I can not assist some customers. I am bound by the regulations of my employer.

I do not work for a bank but as an example if I did, and a customer wanted to open an account but was not prepared to provide adequate ID, I would be bound not to open an account.

I understand about opening a bank account and the legal requirements, same as buying a mobile phone etc but if there is no legal requirement to provide information you're not getting it (nor I guess, am I getting the product).

Saw some wheels on gumtree for sale in Perth that I've been chasing for a while, ring number, female with strong pommy accent answers. I ask about said wheels, she says as I'm calling from the east (which I was was) she wasn't interested in sending them over here..........

No problem, because I really want them and have been chasing a set for about 5 years.......

I say "I'm prepared to fly over to get them and organise my own freight". I figure I could get flights to and from Perth for about $120 and 40,000 points, which is no problem for me. Freight would be a couple of hundred. As these wheels are no longer made and are in short supply I'd still be in front.

She says she will call me back when she gets home in an hour.......... 4 hours later, still waiting.................. Given the time difference, I'll go to bed after sending an email which I don't expect to get a reply from.

What's wrong with these people? Apparently they are for sale because her son bought them because he was told they would fit his car. Not so it seems, wrong pcd.

So why take it out on me, I'm prepared to pay more than they did as I really do want them and I'm prepared to fly across the country to get them, bleedin' toerags (and that's being polite....).

Surely a WA AFFer could come to the rescue? If it was in ADL I would do it.

We certainly do not ask for ID unless it is a legal requirement. I can not think of an instance where the statement I have just made is incorrect.

Our website has a section that states why we collect and how we may use such information.

You are obviously an international arms dealer and the reference to not being a bank comes from your time as a father to teenage children .

PS Let me know if you come across any good value Mig 31s, I have ID in the name of B Yeltsin.

I see your 7 screws and raise you 2 more :(

I can tell you from personal experience that Buzzard prefers a special kind of "hand grenade"... They come in 12 packs and go down very well at BBQs to accompany your steak or chops, but best not to share them :p :p

Actually, 12 packs? There's a 24 pack type of grenade that is essential for cooking the 'steak or chops' but the consumption of said 'steak or chops' generally requires a different specific, pehaps from the Barossa or McLaren Vale. :p

That is the grenade to which I refer - nickname for 375mL bottles, which a small number of good producers do. The perfect size for 1 person :p

That's not a 'grenade' - that's a 26oz Bomb!

Used to buy them for $10 a case back in the later 70's ...

14 hour days do not make me happy. Still 3.5ish hours to go, then a whole 'nother day of it.

The aroma lured number 2 son from his man cave last night. :p

As they say, the key to a man's heart is through his stomach. Contrary to popular opinion, it isn't through his.... you know... :)
