To be precise the recommendation is for 1-2 standard glasses per day.
No saving the dose up and having 14 on a Friday night either.

I don't drink red wine but I overdo the beer and vodka consumption. oops:

One thing though is I give my liver a break 3-4 days a week except when I am overseas.

That crazy cooking woman (she does a hilarious take of Nigella with stupidity thrown in for humour, it's great) on the ABC did something very similar tonight. Garlic, Shallots, cream, salmon, dill. Looked good.

Audrey's Kitchen : ABC TV

I checked out the IMDB page for this programme and was not suprised to see the involvement of the following:

It is a Working dog product.

Ahh Mr Stitch!

I love the Gleisner and Sitch series, A river somewhere

My favourite is one in NZ.voice over saying to reach this river you need a 4WD.
Then overhead shot-but we have the next best,a rental car.

My great grandfather came out to Oz from Scotland at the turn of last century - settled at Bonnie Doon in Victoria.

How's the serenity ?

Maybe not the name, but I do like that part of Victoria.

Took this photo today in Bruny island.

Next time anyone see the VA ad where the girl is asking "guess where I am?" you will know the answer :)

I recognise that lookout - beautiful part of Australia!

Highly recommended for anyone in or near HBA with a day or two to spare.

There are some beneficial effects with other modes of alcohol delivery though.
And the really good news-after the age of 80 the more alcohol you drink the longer you live. From the St.Vincent's Dubbo study.
So in the words of Morecombe and Wise the thing I most want to do before I die is to have a very long life.

Is that because they are so well preserved? :p :p

Saw some wheels on gumtree for sale in Perth that I've been chasing for a while, ring number, female with strong pommy accent answers. I ask about said wheels, she says as I'm calling from the east (which I was was) she wasn't interested in sending them over here..........

No problem, because I really want them and have been chasing a set for about 5 years.......

I say "I'm prepared to fly over to get them and organise my own freight". I figure I could get flights to and from Perth for about $120 and 40,000 points, which is no problem for me. Freight would be a couple of hundred. As these wheels are no longer made and are in short supply I'd still be in front.

She says she will call me back when she gets home in an hour.......... 4 hours later, still waiting.................. Given the time difference, I'll go to bed after sending an email which I don't expect to get a reply from.

What's wrong with these people? Apparently they are for sale because her son bought them because he was told they would fit his car. Not so it seems, wrong pcd.

So why take it out on me, I'm prepared to pay more than they did as I really do want them and I'm prepared to fly across the country to get them, bleedin' toerags (and that's being polite....).

Heat a little olive oil in a pan.Throw in 2 cloves of garlic sliced finely plus one onion.
2-3 minutes then juice of a lime and a splash of white wine.Reduce 50%.Then throw in the cream, smoked salmon and fresh herbs.
Then throw in the pasta which has been cooking whilst making the sauce.
Easy peasy.

Mentioned this recipe to my son today and it's on the menu tonight.

Which type of pasta is best? I'm not a pasta fan as I don't like wheat products but I'm thinking fettuccine style?

A photo taken on my iPhone for shopping today. :p

Fettuccine or linguini generally work quite well.

Haha. Qantas are getting a roasting on social media. They have paid Facebook to promote an F1 competition to UK residents.
Two issues...
Northern Ireland is excluded.
The advert is still popping up in Facebook feeds as a paid advert 2 days after the competition closed.
Aah Qantas...

It exists!

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the ABC with P J O'Rourke at the National Press Club.

So does your company have appropriate personal info handling procedures? Sadly very few companies do.

It would depend on what a customer deems to be appropriate. Some may think not, I may or may not think the procedures are adequate. Unfortunately without ID being presented (for some services) I can not assist some customers. I am bound by the regulations of my employer.

I do not work for a bank but as an example if I did, and a customer wanted to open an account but was not prepared to provide adequate ID, I would be bound not to open an account.
