The totally off-topic thread

Well at least I'm not going to be disappointed rocking up at the gate, an upcoming MEL - PER sector in J has been subbed to a 738 according to the seat map :(

At least it's still showing an A332 for the flight back home!

Do they still serve the full coast - coast menu on the 738?

Fuming, angry, used, taken advantage of - these words don't even come close to describing how one feels right now.

Took this photo today in Bruny island.

Next time anyone see the VA ad where the girl is asking "guess where I am?" you will know the answer :)

Look forward to seeing the FA's wear there joggers on the flight with the black tights.

Gee VA has let there uniform standard drop

This post is actually on topic, but I didn't want to start a new thread (please move if appropriate). I just received an email from Jnr#1 (as below), and I'm so proud :)-

"Aloha,

I was just thinking, if you wanna do that status run thing from Maui - San Fran then we should do it.

Aloha"

It's time to sing the praises of AFF again.

I'm on QF107 today and low and behold aircraft config change to the bird with the old F seats sold as J.

I would have not had a clue about this or been any the wiser about the benefits of these seats. So grabbed myself row 2 and I'm as happy as Larry.

Thanks again AFF you rock.

And in another episode of spooky coincidences, two tweets received simultaneously with one answering the others question, inadvertently!

I hope that you are talking about visitors. If so the word that comes to my mind is "no thanks".

*runs to check upcoming booking*

ETA: so far so good. Though I'm pretty sure it's not Skybed Mk-anything flight.

I basically refuse to show my licence to everybody. Way too much chance of identity theft.

The demands for identification are out of control. If I don't believe they need to see identification I ask them for their licence. When they refuse, so do I. :)

Then I ask for their company policy on handling personal information and why they need to see my licence.

Very few can answer these questions.

In my line of work identification is regularly required. Unfortunately I don't make the rules but have to work within them.
I have one word for those that refuse to show ID when it is required.... goodbye.

As I am all by myself for a while this morning I went out to breakfast with a couple of old friends-yes they are old and I have known them for a long time.
This morning on the Sunshine coast was just beautiful.Had brekkie at Crumbz in the Centrepoint arcade.Bacon, eggs, tomato and toast with a cappuccino-$10.Great value.

Last night I reckon I outdid the MKR cooks with a very nice,IMHO,pasta with a creamy smoked salmon sauce. As well as the cream and smoked salmon it included lime juice, garlic, onion, white wine with fresh tarragon and parsley from the garden.

Leftovers tonight!

Heat a little olive oil in a pan.Throw in 2 cloves of garlic sliced finely plus one onion.
2-3 minutes then juice of a lime and a splash of white wine.Reduce 50%.Then throw in the cream, smoked salmon and fresh herbs.
Then throw in the pasta which has been cooking whilst making the sauce.
Easy peasy.
