Was just doing some bookings at the Hilton Website and noted some rates for "The Great Getaway Sales" - after doing some searching it seems that Hilton have soft launched The Great Getaway Sale for 2012 with rates 15-40% off:

The Great Getaway - Terms & Conditions

I'm finding rates as low at $141 for HSW in just a few weeks - wow. Add the Hilton Macquarie discount to that and this is amazing!

As always, false advertisement to make us excited. The website lists $179 rooms at the Hilton Sydney, but it doesn't complete the reservation. Fail.

The sale doesn't go live until tomorrow.

Nice find.

I am sure it will get me in trouble but I will book a few days each (not consecutive) for Bangkok, Pattaya and Hua Hin for July trip. I wish BMI was still around as the miles earned would have gone a long way towards a one-way business to Asia. Need to find a generous FF program to credit these miles otherwise they will go to VS.

I had already booked some rooms in July, when I went back to have a look the "discounted" price was the same as the price I got previously.

Hi all

Has anyone successfully booked this rate yet? The rate is coming up for me at HSW, letting me get to processing the payment, and then tells me that they cannot confirm a nonsmoking room.

Rang the call centre and they also had problems. It is now 10 May in the US so thought it should be working by now! They have noted my request in the system so let's hope they honour it!

Sounds like the system is still adjusting. Given that HSW is 100% no smoking, you could only get a no smoking room.:)

Just booked London Docklands Riverside for 83 pound a night for July. Normally I avoid the pre-paid rates, but for that price I couldn't resist.

Now to look for rooms in NYC...

This evening I booked a couple of nights at Surfers Paradise for the mid-year Xmas Drinks and Dinner.

Wow...my parents have a 3 nite flexible booking at Hilton Paris for Eur356 per night in 3 months' time; this sale rate is Eur 192 per nite but non cancellable!! decisons, decisions.... what would you do?

I doubt it's going to get much cheaper than that, but it's going to come down to how sure your parents are in their bookings. Are they likely to change dates at all?

To be fair, Hilton allow on their advance purchase fares to be applied to new bookings with a fee, so you don't lose it all - for that sort of saving, it might be worth it!
