I don't see Australia on the list of Visa Infinite issuing countries. And the list is fairly much Middle East and Africa! Be a great promotion if Australians could apply.

You cannot get it but that does not mean cardholders cannot have Australian addresses , hotel status seems be getting easier to get across a few chains....

Its the same. As a HH "Gold" you are a Gold Elite member

Its a nice club to be part of.
