I received mine in the mail today. I was previously a HHonors member (silver) but was upgraded to Gold as part of the promo.
My girlfriend also received hers in the mail today. She has not previously been a HHonors member.

From memory, I think the expiry was 03/2014. I signed up to the promo in the first few days of Jan.

You've got me thinking now. I don't carry any of the hotel or airline loyalty/membership cards with me. Once I have the numbers in my booking I just trust that it will stay there. If I am on the road then I would hope that producing email evidence of the membership will suffice.

Always!

Not in my wallet all the time, but in a special card folder/wallet which I keep readily accessible . I generally transfer a relevant membership card to my wallet prior to checking in at that brand.

I do present my HHonors card when checking in along with my CC.

I have a wallet with 42 loyalty cards in it,everything from airlines to Hudson's Coffee,credit cards and supermarket loyalty cards,it has a zippered compartment for cash
as well,bought it off ebay last year for $4.95,it goes everywhere with me and I would be lost without it.

No, I don't carry them. I just do the same as you, rely on the fact that my number is linked to the bookings. Never had a need for the cards to date.

With Hilton, I have never been asked to produce the card. Even when offerred, it's always refused. "We have your profile in the system".
